If you were ever caught in the act by your or someone else's children, how did you explain (if, at all) what you were doing?

This has never happened to me but the other night my partner and I were talking about what we’d say if our toddler randomly did ever walk in on us (like if he woke up all of a sudden in the middle of the night and ran over)...and we didn’t really come up with all that many ideas…so I’m wondering if anything like that ever happened to you or to anyone you know and what was the explanation…
