I have 3 cats who shed a lot. Is there any good (not time consuming) products to get cat hair off of rugs/furniture?

I have hardwood floors throughout my house, so I feel like buying a vacuum cleaner would be pointless since it would only be used for a few rugs. I’ve tried the sticky tape technique, but it takes hours. I brush the cats about twice a week but still lots of cat hair on the rugs (their favorite sleeping spots).
