How do I light the pilot light in my old wedgewood oven?

I have an old wedgewood stove/oven. My pilot light went out in the oven. Stove still works. I tried lighting the area in the bottom drawer -below the oven (where I keep my pans) and it didn’t light – so I guess that’s not the right place. Suggestions?
