How long or short (elaborate or succinct) should profiles be, and what should be their contents?

Keep in mind that my profile page mentions little beyond how I got my image and username (to counter the “it’s spelled civet cat” types), other sites I’m on (and I’ll soon be adding the link to my Fluther page in them), and my views of them and Fluther.

No mention about my personal life: such as my favourite ice cream—though I have no problem with those who do.
