Have you ever hooked up with someone while drunk, thinking they were attractive, then realizing they weren't once you sobered up?

In movies/TV shows, it always depicts the young guy waking up in a bed after a night of drinking, horrified at the beast laying next to him who was gorgeous the night before. Does this actually happen? I know my perception of someone’s looks is unaffected no matter how much I drink. I’ve heard others say the same, but maybe it does happen to some.
