What's your opinion on the U.S giving hati supplies?

I personally think that everyone is taking this Haiti thing way farther then they should. I know Haiti is one of the poorest country’s in the world and they just had a bad earthquake, but it seems like everyone is busting their ass to help them. Well my question is where the hell was everyone when 911 happened? The U.S got barely any support. What makes there situation any different? I know this makes me sound heartless but you have to see it from my point of view. Thanks.
