School boards all over the country follow Texas’ lead in setting theirs as well, so the board’s action has broad impact on America’s future direction. And this year’s board went far in its efforts to rewrite history along ideological lines. Should education be political indoctrination, and if so, who should get to determine what ideology to teach?
