What is the best way to get the most $ back when filing taxes?

Last year I did my taxes w/a new guy because I moved.
He somehow managed to end up with 0 dollars.

I want to see what you guys recommend. (I want it to be 100% legal off course)

Turbo Tax? H&R Block? Friend of a friend? ...
