What are some home-remedy-type-stuff that I could try on these sensitive teeth?

Please don’t say “go to the dentist” right off the bat. I am going to. But I need something that I can try right now, because this really hurts to eat and stuff. When I bite something, soft or hard, or even just clamp my jaw down tight on that one spot, it hurts. In the tooth. It’s kinda hard to describe it. I’ll be going to the dentist later this week.
