What can stop a bruised eye from hurting?

I was playing monkey in the middle with a couple of friends and one of my friends, Kazia, was in the middle. When my other friend (who wasn’t the monkey) threw the ball to me I didn’t catch it and it landed on the ground. So me and Kazia both headed towards the ball and she accidently elbowed me in the eye! It hurt soo bad! I didn’t cry but Kazia even said her elbow was hurting. The bruise is like right beside my eye and it hurts so bad. I got it on Monday and it still hurts today! I tried ice but it didn’t work. I used the ice at night and in the morning it actually hurt worse! It’s just a bruise but it’s right beside my eye which is a tender spot so it really hurts! Anyway I can help it?
