I need reliable, inexpensive PC repair in NYC - help me?

i have a dell that i got about 2 years ago, with windows vista installed. (boooooo!) its latest trick is to suddenly turn off without warning. also, it now won’t let me use any adobe apps. i, of course, am in the middle of an important writing project. i need a trustworthy geek in nyc to deal with this—even to just help me wipe the drive clean and start over. if said geek were willing to eat veggie food, i’d happily barter for, say, a week’s worth of home-cooked meals.

oh, also, if anyone can tell me how much this should cost, i’d like to know that too.
