Why do individuals who participate in search parties dress in camouflage ?

Recently there was an extensive search in a Florida swamp for an 11 year old girl.
I noticed many of the participants were dressed entirely in camouflage ? Is there a reason for this?
(*they looked exactly as my uncle when he goes turkey hunting)
I understand why my uncle does it !
Did they wanted to sneak up on the girl ?
it is my understanding she wanted to get rescued,she wasn’t a runaway.
