Is Braun Series 7 Worth It?

I have thick curly hair. If I shave with a razor I get ingrown hairs (kinda bad at times).

I use a Panasonic electric shaver (dual non-rotary foil) and sometimes I’ll have ingrown hairs. Normally with that electric shaver, it doesn’t cut hairs properly (it seems to tug and miss hairs a lot).

My friends and reviews recommend the Braun Series 7. Is it worth it? My dad claims the “unique” foil system (since it looks like snow flakes instead of just holes) doesn’t do a good job, but every electric shaver I’ve used seems to fail.
