Should I break it off first?

Not sure if the relationship can be repaired. So the question is this. Is it better to break up first. We do truely love eachother and it is long distance with plans on me moving to her. But I think that we might have cause to much damage to be repaired. Unless someone has any sugestions guess I just want to know the benifits of being the one to break it off first?
