Applying for Disibility and I got denied, what should I do?

So about six or so months ago I applied for disability and I got denied. I feel that I shouldn’t have gotten denied and that I should have some kind of power.

My mom told me I should get a lawyer and go about it that way but I’m not sure because that takes a long time to get done.

What do you guys think?
