My camera is acting up. Any help?

First things first: It’s a Samsung Digimax D53 camera.
It started this afternoon. I turned it on, and it didn’t do anything but have a white screen. Then it wouldn’t turn off. Long story short, I can only to get it to turn on and behave without the memory card in it. I put the card in the computer to try to get the pics off, and it said “The disk in drive F is not formatted. Would you like to format it now?” I said yes, and it gave me a lot of stuff I didn’t understand. I closed it, and it said “The disk in drive F cannot be formatted.” The card is an Impact SD card that has 1GB of memory on it.

So have you ever heard of something like this before? I’m assuming it has something to do with the memory card. Should I get a new one?

P.S. I know this is kind of long, but I’m trying to provide you with all the facts I know so you have stuff to work with.
