Is exercise everyday effective or not?

I usually have 1–3 day breaks in between my work outs, but I am now thinking about doing them continuously for a few days straight, with 1–2 day breaks each week.

I did a work out yesterday, and I am still a little sore from it, but it has been a little over 24 hours now. I am thinking about doing one today.

Bad idea?
