General: what’s so general about the question there?

Social: (from dictionary.com) seeking or enjoying the companionship of others; friendly; sociable; gregarious.
of, pertaining to, connected with, or suited to polite or fashionable society: a social event.

Meta and Just for You are clear.

But like many things with fluther, beginning with the name of the site, these are basically names that were decided upon by the founders, and then each of us interprets it however they feel.

General – serious questions that need serious answers.
Social, relaxed and you can pretty much just chat from post one.

Is this how Andrew and Ben intended it – or is this somply how we interpreted it and they just went with the flow?

Also, what other little fluther things have you taken for granted, or not, that are unique to this site?
