Why are my feet growing?

47 years old 5’10” at 170lbs. I’ve worn a size 9.5 shoe since high school. But within the past year or two, my feet have been growing. I didn’t believe it at first, but none of my old shoes fit any longer, and I have dozens of old shoes.
Went to a size 10, then 10.5, 11… And I just bought a new pair because those are too tight now. The new shoes are 12’s! WTF?
Yes the 12’s are just a bit too long, but they are extra wide and still feel tight.
Why are my feet growing at this time of my life?
