What is your favourite traditional tale?

My younger sister has been set a homework to list traditional tales and a short summary of each. It got me to thinking how much i loved hearing tales in school, especially traditional ones such as the tales of The Brothers Grimm and Rumpelstiltskin would probably be my favourite as it’s in many ways quite a macabre tale no matter which version you read.
