Audio experts: what's the best way to pipe a pre-recorded message to a telephone conference call?

I do a lot of recording, but this always stumps me. I have a recording of one of our engineers talking about a new product, and I need to play that over the phone for a conference call. Suggestions for assuring the best audio quality?
