Dream question: Biting your own flesh? Interpretations please?

Last night I was having a dream in which I was dreaming that me and a lot of friends and family were surfing in the sea, having a really good time, when a huge wave came and flooded the entire beach to the point where there was no air anywhere any more and we were all under water breathing, no one knew what was happening. We were all terrified although we could still breathe.

Then, in the dream I woke up (still dreaming) and looked down at my body and had sliced into my belly three times horizontally. There were also great big gashes where I had bitten into my flesh along these slashes. I couldn’t believe I would eat/ bite my own flesh, but I looked in the mirror and true enough I had blood all over my teeth. I had no recollection of doing this in my dream (inside the dream).

Following in I got a doctor to look at it and he prescribed me some mild medication and told me to drink citrus ginger tea….He didn’t seem too bothered about what I had done, but told me I needed to get it sown up and left.

Any interpretations? I have looked on the internet but can’t find anything!
