Where are good places online to purchase used textbooks?

Asked by IBERnineD (7324points) December 19th, 2008

After looking up the books I would need from the bookstore for next semester, I found out I would have to spend $630.85 for 9 books. Needless to say I am looking into used books as a serious option.

Or use the reserve copies at the library. I purchased very few of my textbooks as an undergrad.

Look into Facebook’s Marketplace, you might just find your book being sold.

I’m lucky because my school doesn’t have a real bookstore (we’re in the middle of NYC), and we just bu our textbooks out of the local Barnes and Noble, where you can also sell your books back. You might check and see if your school will buy your old books back or if it has a used book system; most colleges have one.

Yeah our bookstore is actually a barnes and noble and we can sell back our books, but I didn’t get much back.
