Is your website user friendly? Especially to users who are new and new-ish ...

Asked by flo (13313points) October 24th, 2010

If you own a website, does your website make visitors to your site waste their time only to let them know in the end that it is not possible to do whatever it is they are trying to do? An example of helpfull is the one that would hold your question while you go and sign in, or sign up, if you had composed a Q (to search or to ask).

Usually web designers and developers try to make their sites as easy to navigate as possible, otherwise no one would visit them a second time. There are whole philosophies behind how websites are designed and how data from a user is stored and retrieved. Are you alluding to a bad experience on a website somewhere? Fluther perhaps?

@camertron No, Fluther is one of the most helpful ones.

I try to make my website as best as it could be. But since I rarely get to see any reviews on it, I simply do the best that I can.

You don’t have a “Feedback”/Contact us on it?

reijinni's avatar

@flo, I do have a feedback page.
It’s other page/ feedback form.

I never saw “other page” before. Some websites don’t put it on the homepage. Is the form too long?
Is it a computer Q&A site? I need that.

@flo, I have a mouseover menu on my page. Mouse over “other stuff” and you will se the link to the feedback page.

Where exactly is your “other stuff in your profile page?

reijinni's avatar

@flo, other stuff is basically stuff that I have worked on that is not a story.

But my question is where is it? If you are talking about your profile page, in Fluther. I don’t see “other stuff”.

@flo, not my fluther page.

Sorry. I was confused there.
