What's wrong with my periods?

Asked by xshortiex (247points) December 10th, 2010

I went to India 3 months ago and was on the pill and injection whilst over there (1 month). I’m not sexually active so deffinately am not pregnant. Been on my period since I got back which was late August. Anyone know what it could be?

Why would you be on two different types of birth control? Maybe I misread that but that’s what I understood. If so that could be why.

Wait… you’ve had vaginal bleeding since late August and haven’t gone to the doctor yet?

Because I was treking up the himalayas up to 4000 meters and the altitude messes with birth control so my doctor gave me the pill as well incase the injection didn’t work, and it didn’t, so I took the pill as well. And yeah I have been to the doctors, who said it was cus of that so gave me some pills to sort it out but I kept forgetting to take them so I stopped for about a week, and then came back on. That was about a month ago and I dont wanna ahve to go back and be like yeah so I forgot to take them. Bit embarrassing!

@xshortiex You could be messing with your future fertility by 1) not taking pills as prescribed and 2) not going back to the doctor or to another doctor. Just go. They can help you where we really can’t.

@klutzaroo , not entirely sure what you’re talking about – it was the doctor that subscribed me the pills. And yeah I will

@xshortiex But you didn’t take them as you were told to. The “but I kept forgetting to take them” means that you were not taking them as prescribed.
