Did Simon Camden ever have a ?

I just watched an old episode of 7th heaven (the last 15min) and it shows Simon dropping of a baby at a hospital for “safe keeping” and he is in tears. Is it his kid?

If I remember correctly (and I saw this one a LONG time ago…) I believe he was dropping off the baby for a friend, to help keep her identity anonymous. I think that was it…
