What do you think of Metro Station (the band)?

I think they sound uninteresting and generic but seem perfect for MTV, so I guess they could ‘make it.’

This band somehow manages to incorporate every single shoe-gazing indie rock cliche in the book into their look and sound. To make it worse, they do it with a straight face. So I guess they’re serious(?).

Someone linked me to a video of theirs called “Kelsey”. It’s literally as if Saturday Night Live was doing a spoof of the current hipster movement. Cheezy predictable synths, a guitar player who’s jamming out to a song with no guitar, boring overly compressed drums and yet another singer who’s doing his very best Chris Carrabba impression.

So yeah, they’ll probably make it.

I think the musicians themselves are very good and “shake it” is good, but I’m not sure if they’ll get any bigger than they are right now ;)

Who knows? But at least they have one song that made it (“shake it”). And that’s better than some bands at least.

if you ask me, metro station is amazing. i think all their songs are amazing and extremly catchy. They have a lot of meaning behind them, and if they are a one hit wonder, i don’t know what i will do. I think they deserve to be on top after all their wicked hard workk.
