I'm selling a book through Amazon and I have a question about a specific situation. Can you help (see details)

So I’m selling a book and since I am not home, I have e-mailed the buyer to let him know that I can send it next week when I get back. He said that was fine and to send it priority and he’ll pay the difference. How does that work? Do I have to do anything? I’m clueless obviously.

It doesn’t. You’ll have to make a separate arrangement with him for him to get the money to you, as far as I know. The allowance that Amazon provides for media mail, or the equivalent, is pretty much the limit of their involvement, to the best of my knowledge.
