Choose Your Own Adventure book with BASIC?

Asked by linuxgnuru (207points) February 18th, 2011

A LONG time ago back in the 80s, I remember having a book that had BASIC on certain pages that you had to type in on your C64 or Apple II in order to know which page to go to next; but no matter what I try, google has failed me which fluther (knock on wood) has yet to let me down. So I’m asking, does anyone know what this book series was called or did such a book even exist?

was it a game that was set in the future that had a Avatar of Homer (non-Simpsons)... and you needed to access different parts of the computer grid to find out what happened to the civilization.

I had a couple of those books as a kids. I don’t remember the name of the series though. One of them involved time-travel, I think.
