How long before I can dye my hair after bleaching?

Asked by ivysaurgoesrawr (106points) March 3rd, 2011

Pretty self explanatory. I’ve heard if I don’t wait at least two weeks it will change colors but I’d look awfully silly going around with bleached hair for two weeks. So, how long are you actually supposed to wait and is there anyway you can dye it sooner without having your hair change colors?

Always wait at least one day. If you dye your hair the same day you bleach it, your hair will break off at the weakest points. I would think the ideal situation at least, this is what I would do when I was still dyeing my hair would be to wait two or three days and then dye it.
