Is there any way to change default fonts for certain languages on Chrome?

Asked by DominicX (28808points) April 2nd, 2011

I’m pretty sure I already know the answer to this question is “no”, but I’m still holding out hope…

Essentially what I want to do is to be able to read Japaense sites in the “Meiryo” font rather than the default crappy font that Chrome has set up for Japanese. As far as I know, there is no way to change the Japanese font without making Japanese the default encoding for the browser, which I don’t want to do.

Is there some way around this or is that all there is?
