Would anyone know where to find a psychologist that does pro bono work in san francisco?

Not exacly the answer you want, but the Psych. Clinic at UC Berkeley has a sliding scale for payment. Would you be willing to see someone who is in the process of getting the degree and sees patients for less money (w. supervision)? That is usually the cheapest way to go.

thank you for your response gail. i think i’m looking for something a bit more personal but i suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try.

I don’t know how you would find a certified PhD or MSW who might do pro bono work. Maybe one of the SF University Med. Schools Dept. of Psych. have some recommendations. Here the local court has a list of lawyers who volunteer to do p/b. That’s not helpful, I know. Or perhaps the person involved could ask his/her family doctor?
