Kids/Teens: Do kids still pass handwritten notes to one another at school?

Asked by Plucky (10316points) July 5th, 2011

When I was a kid, in school, there were no cellphones, smartphones or laptops. We passed handwritten notes to one another ..usually discretely for fear of a teacher getting a hold of it.

With all the technology, do some kids still do it the old way? Or is it always electronic now?

It’s hard for me to imagine the new type of “note passing” in today’s schools. Do kids get their electronics taken away ever?

I’m asking this because I’ve been cleaning out some of my keepsake boxes. I found a small box jammed with old school notes. These notes were usually folded into small wads. Or folded into weird designs.
