Why are there so many immature maple seeds this year?

Asked by BuzzBean (13points) April 29th, 2008

We’re seeing zillions of tiny little seeds and just a few normal sized ones.

I would think you had a very dry year and with lots of wind knocked them off. It happens sometimes. Also if the squirrels have had a hungry time they will race to get the mature seeds so fast your head may spin. :-) Could one of these things have happened ?
