What are one or more of the things you'd put in your personal "Top 10 Scariest Things In Life?"?

Teaching kids how to drive. Definitely up there for me! Long ago somebody put me in charge of Drivers Ed for the World. I taught both of my sisters how to drive. I taught my boyfriend from high school how to drive. I taught all of my kids, of course, as well as one of my daughter’s boyfriends when they were in high school. Now we’re down to grand kids. My oldest just turned 16 on the 4th. He got his driver’s license in Seattle. I haven’t the faintest idea how they awarded it to him, but he has it. I let him drive across town. He felt he did great. I felt like a scary scene out of a family movie! Start! Stop! Lurch! Punch!

“We’re coming up on a stop sign…do you see it?.... Stop accelerating!! We’re almost at a stop sign!!!”

“Slide to the left a little or you’re going to scrap that parked car. LEFT! LEFT! NOT RIGHT!!”

“WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO DUCK OUT OF SIGHT? YES, I SEE THE COP AND YOU ARE LEGAL TO DRIVE, DUMMY! NO I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THE WHEEL! GET BACK UP HERE! ”

“You touch that radio and you die. Got it?” : )

Oh, and this was classic. “Do you see the truck behind you?”
He cranes to look in his side view mirrors.
“No! In your rear view mirror! This one! You do use that, don’t you?”
“No, I just use the ones on the side.”
I kept my response down to using just one little cuss word. Something like, “Well you sure as hell BETTER start using it!”

Definitely one of my top 10 scary things in life!
