How do I cancel an order on Amazon?

I ordered several things around June 27th. Received everything promptly except for one item. That item was to be received between July 5 and 20th. It has read “Shipping soon,” since then. The seller has not responded to my queries. I just want to cancel the damn thing, but I don’t know how.
