What are some good blogging sites?

I don’t really like tumblr that much. All I see is people posting pictures all the time. I don’t really like that. Plus, some of the pictures I don’t want to see, like the nude ones. This isn’t a buisiness thing either. I just want to write stuff. I like to write. I want a site where I can write and post videos and pictures, if I want. If you’ve seen the show awkward I want something almost similar like that. Can anyone think of anything? Ohh, I’ve already tried blogger, as well. :)

Another vote here for wordpress, which you can either get a free “off the peg” one from www.wordpress.com, or alternatively you can host your own with wordpress.org.
If you like the social side of blogging, joining communities etc. Livejournal might suit you, but it’s less professional-looking.
Another vote for WordPress. Plus I think it’s easy export if even you want to take it up a notch to be more professional by hosting it yourself.
I don’t think Google Blogger looks so bad either, but I’d be concerned about Google’s rights to your posts. Then, that’s true with anyone.
Two of my favorites, because they’re interesting, topical, well-written, updated at least daily, and (bonus!) respected academically:
Pharyngula by evolutionary biologist PZ Myers (spoiler alert: Promotes atheism and bashes religion).
Language Log, a daily digest of language in the world at large, by linguists Mark Liberman & Geoffrey Pullum.
I use Wordpress for more serious posts and for that quick and dirty writing I use Posterous and Tumblr.
