HDMI cable from t.v. to laptop suddenly stopped working. Anyone know why that is?

I had it working the other day while watching Les Mis. Now, nothing is happening. Help.

tried unplugging and replugging the cable? Is the tv showing the right input? Is there any tears in the cable?

Make sure the laptop is displaying out to the HDMI port. Usually there’s a function key (Fn + F#) for this where you can cycle between built-in display, VGA/HDMI out, or both at the same time.
