Should we put politicians on stage in comedy clubs, and comedians in office in government?

I was just thinking, how so many comedians over the years have come up with so many nuggets of wisdom. Little observations, complaints, and ways of wording things, that are pure gold, and I had an idea.

Why don’t we all gang up next week, all the people in the world, and just force the politicians on to comedy club stages, and let the comedians run government.

This way you could have an efficient government. You could use the observational powers of Seinfeld, to spot problems and report them to Lousic CK, who can use his blunt honesty to declare it is it important or not.

The decision could then be passed to Ricky Gervais for him to mock it and clown on it as a form of peer review, before passing it on to the congress, with all the wisest comedians.

Think of all the benefits… There would be no gun crime, because Chris Rock would be in charge, and bullets would cost $5000 each. Lewis Black could be put in charge of regulating corporations, making sure their greed does not spiral out of control, and there would be loads of other benefits too.

Finally, we would still have something to laugh at, because we could all head down to the comedy club, and point and laugh at all the obvious lies and nonsense the politicians speak.

So, should we?
