Sync Gmail Contacts with Mac 10.5.3 Update?

Asked by anonyjelly16 (747points) June 18th, 2008

Has anyone set up addressbook sync between mac and gmail? How did this work for you? Is there a limit to the number of contacts? Does it sync only when the iphone is synced or does it do the sync on a regular interval? I set it up today and it doesnt seem like its working.

Do you mean automatically sync the email contacts with your address book? I was unaware you could do that. I know you can get your email. I know you can down load your addresses from gmail.

I tried it and it screwed up all my contacts in Address Book. Back up your current address book then enable it. See the link below for more information.

So, has the sync worked properly for anyone yet?

Now that this is working, it keeps duplicating entries. Its taken about 1000+ contacts and turned them into almost 3200 contacts. Sheesh!
