A store in San Francisco?

Asked by babygalll (2768points) June 21st, 2008

There is a store for light fixtures in San Francisco that someone told me about, but I don’t know the name of the place. All what they told me is that it is either on 10th/Gary or 11th/Gary. They said it’s right on the corner, a shiny huge store and you can’t miss it. Does anyone live in the area that can help me with the name of the store? Possibly an accurate address?

There is a Lamp’s Plus on Geary (4700), but I doubt that is what you are looking for, since it’s a chain store. More likely it’s Lite House @ 4334 Geary Blvd. SF, CA 94118 Phone: (415) 221–4334. Geary between 7th and 8th.

I asked them if it was Geary and they said it’s Gary and that the store was either on 10th or 11th. Is there a Gary street in SF? Is there even a store on the corner of either 10th or 11th?

Never heard of Gary in SF. It doesn’t come up on google maps either. Some people pronounce Geary, Gary. 10th and 11th don’t cross Gary, but they cross Geary, as do 7th and 8th

Yeah. I believe Seesul is right. I google mapped it. The only Gary close to SF is in Oakland. There is a Geary though, and 10th and 11th run through it.

Is the Lite House a big shiny place? I think the person is referring to Lamps Plus, because he said it’s a big place right on the corner. From the map the Lite House doesn’t look big.

On another note. Do any of you know other places around the city for light fixtures for the house that are reasonable?

Must be Lamps Plus. It’s on 11th and Geary. it’s a chain with many locations in the Bay Area. If you go onto http://www.maps.google.com and put in 4700 Geary Blvd San Francisco, CA, a box will come up with a photo for street view. Click on that box (full screen if you like) and you can “drive” through the city, any area that is outlined in blue.

As far as price goes, Lamps Plus is probably your best bet, other than places like Home Depot and Lowes.

Thank you for your help.

If it is Lamps Plus I’m gonna save myself a trip. We have some close by to where I live.
