What are the worst and best ways of starting a comedy show?

I was just on youtube looking for some comedy, when I found this

It is a stand up comedy show, but before the show starts, Alex Jones comes on stage, talks the death of 50 million people, and insults the audience.

Is this a good or bad way of starting a comedy show?

What is the best way and worst way to start a comedy show in your opinion?
