How do people reconcile themselves to being emotional or logical frauds?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) March 24th, 2014

What process does one have to go through to feel OK with being emotional or logical frauds? Does one have to simply go with the masses and believe numbers make things correct? Does one follow smarter people and resign to the fact they must know more, so they have to be correct? Does one simply ignore any logic that doesn’t feed their emotional need? Does one go with a flawed philosophy out of self-preservation, for fear of calling it to the carpet will cause others to disapprove of or even rebuke them, and they are too sensitive to take harsh words? Do people believe in things they can’t defend when it is not under the banner of faith is because they haven’t thought it out totally? What makes a parson believe something that is supposed to be factual but there is no real way to prove it in an all-inclusive way, as to be totally genuine and not a fake?
