What digital camera should I make my boyfriend buy for me?

I just got a free iPod Touch with my new MacBook laptop. I told my boyfriend I would give it to him if he bought me a new digital camera. He agreed. I am looking for a regular digital camera. One that is relatively compact and could fit in my purse. One that will take decent pictures and make it convenient for me to put them online. I don’t want him to spend more than $200 on it because we just moved and are trying to spend money wisely (and the iPod Touch is only worth $299). What camera should I have him buy me?

I adore my Fujifilm finepix Z10 (newer model is Z20). It’s not very expensive, fits in the phone pocket in your handbag and comes in great, bright colors (mine’s pink)

Go to a store and check out how they feel in your hand. I find my camera awkward to hold and pressing the button to take a picture doesn’t feel very good. My ex didn’t mind using it. She had small hands.

I just purchased this one for my daughter. It’s cheap, easy to use, and you can use it for videos as well.

Well, thank you all for the suggestions! I took them all very seriously and investigated each of the cameras you suggested. After doing this research, I eventually decided on wildflower‘s suggestion.

My boyfriend bought it for me today (in pink), and so far, I am very pleased with it!
