Brighten a MacBook Webcam?

My girlfriend and I like to video chat because she went to college early and shes in Pittsburgh now, and I’m still outside of Philly. I have a MacBook and she has a Dell Notebook and she found a setting to make her webcam look brighter and nicer. Is there a similar setting on the MacBook?
