What are the odds of all three of us having the same symptoms?

Asked by Kairi (794points) February 2nd, 2015

Myself, my boyfriend, and my best friend all have the same feelings of being drained of energy and getting dizzy/lightheaded when we stand. He also has a headache, but she and I do not.

This wouldn’t be strange to me if it wasn’t for the fact that she is in Mass, I am in upstate NY, and he is in NYC. I haven’t seen her since last year and I haven’t seen him since a couple weeks ago, so it’s not like we could catch the same thing from being in contact with one another. I don’t know of any illnesses going around as of late, and no one else seems to know either. We are all keeping hydrated so I don’t think it is a case of dehydration.

Is it strange that we’re all feeling this way? Or is it just a coincidence and we’re thinking too much about it?

Well, we know the boyfriend can’t be pregnant, which would explain your symptoms. Could your girlfriend?

it would be weird if he could. no she isn’t and there’s no possibility of it since her boyfriend lives in an entirely different state and they haven’t seen one another since she had their baby last year (won’t go into details as to why he can’t leave the state)

You have the highly pathogenic avian flu strain H5N8.
In the meanwhile do not go near any chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese or squab.
Induce immediate bio security measures, isolate yourself from loved ones, change your shoes and clothes and burn them with all bedding material. You will be picked up by authorities and transported to the nearest bio security area shortly for extermination. So sorry,

It’s just a coincidence I bet.

Those are very common symptoms that could be over a hundred things. So coincidence.. The pathology of suggestion…

There is a slight chance you got exposed to something environmental or some sort of std and it is just becoming symptomatic now.. But most likely its nothing.

Low odds.

Yours is probably stress or preggers symptoms, or both. Your boyfriend also it could be stress. Your girlfriend I have no idea. Maybe she has a thyroid problem, catching the flu, medications side effect, tons of possible reasons.

I just find it fascinating that we can be nowhere near each other and have similar symptoms. we were all fine the next day, also, which was odd
