Is there a way to record movies from Netflix?

Asked by undersea (7points) November 26th, 2015

Hey there,
I´m looking for a way that allows me to capture movies from Netflix. There is so much stuff I still wanna watch but it will expire soon and I don´t have time to watch eveything. So I want to record and then watch later?
Is there anything? I would also pay something for it

Check to see if your TV has AV output jacks: Video, Left, Right. They are usually yellow, red, and white.
Run those to the input jacks on a cheap old VCR. If you need to buy one get it at Goodwill for $5.00.

Because Netflix uses Microsoft’s ‘Silverlight’ plugin, it is almost impossible to do.
I have not been able to do it.

Yes you can, you just need a device that will output component video such as one of the older roku set top boxes and a device to pipe that signal into your computer like this My question is if you are willing to pay for a recording device why not just pay netflix the $10 or whatever?

My old Roku XR has the AV outputs. You can buy them for almost nothing.- like a VCR or old CD recorder /player.

There’s not a legal way. And if you’re willing to pay for it, just pay the $8 to continue your membership.
