Help with Intuos tablet?

Asked by kittybearez (75points) December 25th, 2015

I am trying to download Corel essentials 5 and it always saves as an .exe and I have extracted the .exe but all I get is CorelPE5_x and when I open it it says Installwizardshield will guide you towards the guide in blah blah seconds but when the seconds are done, it just closes and nothing happens. I have tried winRAR but it does the same thing as when I extracted it with the extract all button on my computer.

You don’t need to extract exe files. Just double-click it.

If I’m reading your details correctly, you’ve double-clicked on the .exe file, and the install wizard opens, but then closes without doing anything? Have you checked in My Programs (assuming you’re on a PC) to see if it’s there?

Historically, Corel’s install wizard takes a ridiculously long time to achieve its task, to the point where people can think it has failed – but in my experience, the window remains opens and it seems to hang, it doesn’t close outright until it has finished installing.

Did you purchase the program through their website, or did you torrent it? Either way, you may be able to find some help via the website you got it from (either an FAQ page through Corel, or in the comments for the torrent if not).
