Can anyone explain this to me?

Asked by xxporkxsodaxx (1396points) July 30th, 2008

I don’t have this page bookmarked so I just enter in the first letter and it enters in the full address, and occasionally I click “enter” too fast and it goes to “i” which is the letter I put in. But this time was strange, I am using Safari but it says Internet Explorer, any answers to this?

Yeah that doesn’t make any sense. Do you have IE installed? Maybe Safari’s default 404 page was replaced with IE’s.

Well, in fairness, IE probably can’t display the page either…......although that’s arguably irrelevant information.
Do you by any chance have IE set as default browser or something?

No, I never even knew they had IE for Mac, and you can see from my dock that the only internet client that’s open is Safari.

Unless you’ve been fiddling with this or similar….
But if there’s no trace of IE on your machine and it’s not modified shot, it is a mystery…
