[Blast from the past] Are the Mods of Fluther more like babysitters or referees?

Seeking the take of new Flutheronians of this era, who were not here before, to see what their take on the moderation and the role of the Mods? Based off the flak certain question seem to conjure up melees on the yard, one would think the Mods have to either babysit to keep people from hitting, punching or name calling as a babysitter would unruly siblings, or a referee that is there to make sure the punches are legal and above the belt or people bringing shanks to the yard, racking the chamber if things start to riot. Which do you feel the mods are closest to, babysitters or referees of a boxing match or an ultimate fighting confrontation, or a guard walking the wall?
